Sometimes, you hurt someone so much that the part of their heart that they handed over to you never heals. Imagine how it feels, for someone to trust another so much that they give them a part of themselves that they've never given to anyone else. They've pretty much given you a map of their heart and handed you a knife and told you where you can cut them the deepest. As if that isn't scary, to just hand themselves over to someone who has the potential to hurt you so much. So I understand, I understand if you are too scared to hand yourself over again. You have to be very brave to do it, and a lot of people that I know do not have it in themselves. And it fucking hurts me to see my closest friends suffer from this. They want to love. They want to be able to let it go and not be afraid. But they don't know how, and I cannot explain how. And it hurts, and I feel helpless, hopeless. I do not know what to do. There is nothing I can do.
